Onder het motto “een kromme lijn is ook een lijn” vieren we de vrouwelijkheid en al haar mogelijke kronkels tijdens deze Internationale Vrouwendag. Sterke en tegelijk kwetsbare stemmen vullen ons podium. Een queer blik op de actualiteit, de maatschappij en haar uitdagingen. Een ZOT (&) goei programma waar queer de norm is en gender niet in een ho(e)kje maar wel in de spotlight staat.

Drie uur lang praten we in schuifjes met twaalf betrokken gasten constructief door op alle vragen die zijn blijven hangen na het gesmaakte rekta:versa-nummer.

Kruip tussen de zachte fluwelen kussens in ‘The Dark Room’ en laat je zinnen prikkelen door de fluisterverhalen over gender, queer en transervaringen, poëzie, filosofie en gedachtespinsels. een klank installatie van Rona Kennedy, Fabian Espinosa en Tine Defoor.
Thuis Zijn voor het Donker: Een theaterstuk ism Victoria Deluxe met en over moeders zonder papieren over opvoeden van kinderen terwijl je zelf niet eens bestaat.

Fou de Coudre is een theater en performance collectief die ik oprichtte samen met een aantal kunstenaars.
We creëren performances, theater, installaties, HOAXen,…met rodedraad: artistieke, verrassende en prikkelende interventies rond o.a. precariteit en sociale uitsluiting, dekolonisatie, stedelijkheid, alternatief en micro economieën, ecologie,…

FREE LIVING: Free Living Hoax
‘Een ruime keus voor elke beurs’.
Onder deze slogan lanceerde het hoax-bedrijf FreeLiving het vernieuwend woonconcept Vrijwonen. Vrijwonen bestaat uit het betrekken van ongebruikte gebouwen of publieke ruimtes. Freeliving bemiddelt tussen mensen op zoek naar een woonplaats en eigenaars van leegstaand onroerend goed of van publieke ruimte. Via de website www.freeliving.be kunnen vragers en aanbieders elkaar vinden. Freeliving voerde een reclamecampagne in Gent, bracht immoborden aan op leegstaande huizen en onder bruggen, en bood Hotspots aan voor electriciteit, water en voedselbedeling. Het bedrijf blijkt achteraf een stunt van Gentse creatieve actievoerders onder de naam Comité Nie Pleuje, in samenwerking met Fou de Coudre, TiensTiens, Actie Betaalbaar Wonen en verschillende vluchtingenondersteuningsgroepen.
De interventie FreeLiving legt de vinger op de nood aan kwalitatieve huisvesting, sociale woningen en waardige opvangmogelijkheden voor mensen die in de marge geduwd worden. Het initiatief kan gelezen worden als een aanklacht en een poging het debat rond woonbeleid en de hoge huurprijzen aan te zwengelen.
